The Short Story of Bonita's Survival from Colic

Bonita coliced on Tuesday July 15th. If it wasn't for Valerie Mac Millan, the owner of Township Stables, and Tacho, who is the care taker of the property and the horses, Bonita would probably not be here. They noticed that she wasn't feeling well and called me and when I got out to the stables, Valerie and Tacho told me they felt she was colicing. I am so thankful for them and their knowledge and their help. I gave her an injection of pain medicine and called Dr. Long and he had me go out to his office to get some more pain medicine to see if that would relieve her and get her through the colic. Long story short................The next day, Bonita was not doing well and it scared the shit out of me. I did not think she would survive. Valerie trailered her out to Dr. Long's where she spent the day and the night. We brought her home today....Thursday. Thank you so much Valerie and Tacho. I love having Bonita at a place where she is safe, loved, and so well taken care of.
